I traveled to this club for the Midwest Side by Side shoot in August and had a great time! A great facility run by fantastic people. I enjoyed the shoot and visiting with everybody. My dog enjoyed the freedom she had there and was welcomed back in to the airconditioned clubhouse while I was out on the range shooting. I enjoyed the various games we shot and can not wait to go back again, just with it was not so far for me to travel(274 miles)

Great facility, My son and I shot the Show Me State games and their sporting clays course was a challenge and a lot of fun. I was also very impressed with the staff and Mrs. Gates cooking!!!

As a vendor and one who has set up at many different events and places I feel Prarie Grove shooting sports is top notch. I observe and watch the interaction of the staff and visitors and shooters and it is welcoming. The shooters from the MU shooting team as well as the 4-H kids and all in between could not be any nicer to me and supportive.
I hope to continue to come and set up as a vendor and support the shooting sports as well as Prairie Grove and its facility.
Thank You Prairie Grove and keep up the good work !!!!

My wife and I recently revisited Prairie Grove from our home base in North Carolina. We have shot close to 50 gun clubs across the united states. This one is by far one of our favorite shooting venues. The grounds are beautiful and well manicured. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We were able to choose from many shooting sports. Our personal favorites were the sporting clays, 5 stand and “the tower”. The targets were very challenging yet breakable. The variety is such it will challenge all levels of shooters. Let’s just say it keeps us coming back for more. This type of club is very hard to come by and I wish it was closer to home.

I visited Prairie Grove recently with some friends who had shot there previously. They were not exaggerating. Had a great time . Met the owners Ralph and Marianne and they couldn’t be me accommodating. The targets were challenging on the course that we visited but nothing like shooting the TOWER. Talk about a learning experience WOW.I can’t wait to go back.

As a Missouri 4-H Shooting Sports Volunteer we have visited the club for Registered Shoots, Fund Raisers, Qualifiers and practice. The club has always welcomed the youth and volunteers. The Club works to make the experience a positive one. Their willingness to work with leaders and help them provide a safe program for the youth they serve is always appreciated. We appreciate past and current board members, along with Matt, Mary Ann and Ralph for all that they do to support Missouri 4-H Shooting Sports, but especially the State Shotgun Program.

I have been enjoying the shooting sports for over 40 years and have probably shot clay targets at more than 20 different clubs in Missouri and Illinois. There is no better facility anywhere that I am aware of. All of the traditional games, trap, skeet, 5 stand, and sporting clays are as good as they come and for even more fun, they are one of the very few facilities that are set up for wobble skeet which just maybe one of the most fun shotgun sports available. The clubhouse facilities are also second to none and the entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful. If you enjoy shooting clay targets you will certainly enjoy the experience at Prairie Grove.

I visited Prairie Grove on a Sunday to spend some time with my daughter who is a club member thru the University of MO shooting club. A marvelous facility! The grounds, including the individual skeet areas, are very clean and well groomed. The facility includes a spacious and very comfortable club house for those spouses who do not care to take part in the sport but do want to join in with the family adventure.
I have always been amazed that in this sport the very best shooters are more than ready to aid advice and time to new shooters, and this club was no different. We joined in on too very good shooters who immediately welcomed my daughter, a new member, and made her feel very comfortable and welcome.
The camaraderie and good humor carried over to the clubhouse where Guy Loyd and Mr. and Mrs. Gates made us feel more like a part of the family than visitors.
A great place to spend a day or a tournament!
