Prior to visiting, I called for permission to shoot a game here and permission was granted after striking up a friendly dialog with the manager. This is a private members only club that caters primarily to wealthy live bird hunters. Upon arriving, you’re treated like a hotel guest. Your guns are taken to your golf cart from your car and stowed for the trip to the range. No self pulling here. Your are catered and pampered for everything. its 13.00 a game for skeet…plus tax.
The skeet and trap field is part of the old clubhouse grounds that you pass on the way to the main building when you come down the long driveway. I shot skeet. The range is a very nicely kept grassy course with a huge cedar tree that practically hides the high house on station 1. Seeing the bird come out is tricky because of it. Otherwise, its fine. Downrange left is a small hillside close to the flight line with plenty of undergrowth. Its like shooting in the woods. Solid brass station markers are on each station.
The range was very quiet and I was the only one shooting, so I got to talk with the caretaker some. He said walking hunts, 5 stand, and sporting clays are the primary draw and membership is very expensive. Its only opened to the public for special sanctioned shoots.
For the short time I was allowed to visit, I was treated like royalty. I enjoyed it. If I’m ever invited back, I will certainly come.

This was a private club, but they where not busy and let us come into shoot anyway. The price was very affordable with a great layout to the sporting clays course with a lot of variety in the target locations. The staff was very nice and cleaned the guns no charge. Would definitely return again.
