Been shooting Sporting Clays at Salmon Creek for a three or more years now. Perhaps 30- 35 times a year. Very nice, mostly level course, with a mix of stations which changes on average, every two weeks. Birds, battues, chandells, rabbits, midis, and minis. Long shots, and close shots. Outbound shots from an elevated trap, inbound targets, crossing targets, teal presentations. Even a station called “trappers choice”, designed to challenge you to shoot and reload fast, and a crazy thing called a “gravity rabbit”. In addition to Sporting Clays, they have 5 stand, skeet, trap, and wobble trap. The club is run by a some very dedicated and hard working volunteers. Open to members and non-members. Reasonable prices and a discount, of course, to members. (membership is also reasonable.) The kitchen is usually open, and offers a great breakfast. Friendly shooters and staff are always willing to give advice to help you shoot better. The action starts about 9:00am. Sporting clays traps will be activated by a trapper who takes you around the course. Be prepared to tip them. They work hard to make your shooting experience fun.

I have been to this club a half dozen visits and had a blast every time. I have taken at least three or four friends there and we had a great time. Make sure you give yourself time for breakfast before trying out the sporting clays. They are a great bunch of people there and very welcoming. Good luck!
