Guest rates have been reduced to 5.00, but guests can only shoot pricey factory ammo sold at the club. Sponsors are still required. Its still a nice club to get some shooting in.

A lot has changed in 4 years. The club is still very friendly and very active. Renovations were done to the grounds to improve storage and to upgrade an old and decaying structure. The clubhouse is no longer an old cabin theme, rather its now modern. Gone are the vintage pot belly stoves and the hand made dual field stone fireplace. No more log splitting for that classic firewood smell in the clubhouse now. Its been replaced with gas. A new roof with a cathedral ceiling has been installed, so lost is the cozy feeling you’d get with low ceilings on those cold winter days. The entire interior was gutted and remodeled with a new common contemporary style. The notched solid hard wood floor was replaced with click and clack flooring. The old new england feel to this club has been replaced with a more generic atmosphere and wi-fi. Numerous healthy old growth trees were removed around the club, (that were probably older than the clubhouse itself,) so shade has been reduced to almost nothing. There no longer is a covered porch outside to wait your turn to shoot and now you’ll get yelled at for tracking mud into the club. You cant utilize the grounds after hours anymore for picnics or dog running, due to a new motion detector security system with cameras. A much needed but ugly storage trailer was installed right next to the clubhouse for target storage. One skeet range has been permanently closed due to shot fall issues on neighboring property. So, skeet shooters should be anticipate a wait for getting on the one field open on those occasional busy days. Members dues were taxed to pay for this renovation and visitors must now pay a whopping 7.00 to shoot a game.
All in all, its what the voting members voted for and got, a nice new clean clubhouse. But most of the old New England charm is gone. Overall, Seymour is always a nice place to visit and shoot good targets.

Just got back from my first ever time shooting Skeet. This is great place with fantastic and very friendly people. Myself and a friend thought that we would give it a try. A member took us out to the course and gave us personalized instruction on how to shoot skeet.
I must admit that I would have been happy if I broke 1 clay, with the great instruction I broke many more than that, Thank you Greg for the personalized touch that you showed us at your fine club. We will absolutely return!!

Established in 1926, Seymour F&G is a well established, cozy, and very friendly private club. It’s nestled in amongst private homes on a small plot of wooded hilltop land that has been accepted by the neighboring residents. more matches and activities than you can imagine are held year round on this 2 field range. Quiet and peaceful, you can sit in a 70 year old log cabin type clubhouse to play cards, watch tv, buy reloading supplies, or warm up to a nice warm pot belly stove. It’s well lit, has ample parking, and plenty of shade. guests may be signed in and can shoot with a club sponsor on standby. bbq’s, club picnics, annual dinners, raffles, and fishing matches are all just some of the clubs popular functions. The club has a shot size limit of #9 only, for skeet, (to keep shot on club property and out of neighbors yards) and it’s strictly enforced. The club is open tues 3-9, Thursday 3-9, and Sunday 9-3. Both fields are set up to shoot under lights. For those that like small time operations, personal club member interactions, and like to avoid huge expensive mega ranges designed primarily for revenue and world class events, this is the place for you.
