Throughly enjoy shooting clays at this course. Course is well layed out and is safe, clean, up to date. Traps have been added recently to each station. Always a great time shooting at Shane’s.

On a recent shooting trip through central N.C. I had the privilege of shooting both Shane’s and Cosner Reserve on the same day. Both courses were delightful with welcoming, friendly staff and great targets. The 2 courses are only 30 minutes apart, thus making for a great shooting adventure for anyone in the greater Winston-Salem, Greensboro, Raleigh-Durham area. Both courses featured interesting topography with both wooded and open field presentations. Both Managers make me feel completely at home. Shane’s is probably the first course to open in N.C., while Cosner’s has only been open for a couple of weeks. Thus, you can experience both the oldest and the newest in the same day. I will return to both courses the next time I am in the area. Thanks for a great day.

What a great place to practice. Some challenging targets and some fluff. Just the right amount of both to make for a nice course. Place was well manicured and taken care of. Shane is an awesome host and will help you in any way he can. Pro shop was clean and pleasant with an awesome view over water. I would definitely go back again.

This was my first time shooting clays in almost 20 years and I had a blast. This was the first time any in my group had ever shot a sporting course. I do not know how expensive the course is compared to others in the region, but I can say it was well worth the cost to us. There was so much more there than we expected and the course looks like it was consciously laid out to promote safety. I plan to add Shane’s to our roster of attractions for family events.

My biggest disappointment with Shane’s was the price. It is far more expensive (2.5 X) than other venues I’ve visited. Also, some fields are positioned such that the sun is directly in your eyes during the afternoon hours, which is the time that they are open.

Invited by a friend that received deal from LivingSocial. I live 10 miles away and never knew Shane’s was there. You can bet I will be making regular visits from now on and have already enlisted friends to experience the fun for themselves. I was pleasantly surprised by the overall setup and layout. I am a complete novice but had a complete BLAST…pun intended.

The staff was very helpful in getting my friend and I set up with everything we needed! Shane’s is a great course with some good variety, I’m definitely going back to do the full course next time!

First time ever shooting skeet – I really enjoyed it. Thanks Shanes and to “Joey” who was patient and encouraging to me. Since I am a 56 yr old woman who has never shot clays before Joey explained everything very well, made adjustments to the automatic skeet release and I was on my way. I only got one clay but I will definitely go back. This place is everything the reviews have said and I truly had a good time doing something new, different and that I can come back to try again. Thanks Shane’s for having a nice facility and pleasant staff!

I stopped by on a Thursday while I was in the area for a business trip. I was only able to shoot 50 rounds, but had a great time. All of the machines worked perfect, and the presentations where well done. Garrett, the young man working there, was super nice, and took the time to go around and pull for me since I was shooting alone. Beautiful setting.

Excellent 50 round course for a great price. The bird presentation is clean and the machines were very reliable. There were multiple looks, different types of birds, and no repeated birds or stations. Fast, slow, incoming, crossing, risers, wobble, rabbit, overhead, woods, open and other shots abound. This is a challenging and yet not overly difficult course that will improve your shooting and prepare you for tournaments, guided shoots, or fall foul. I was very impressed with staff. I dropped a 120.00 Benchmade knife on the course, and on a phone call Shane went out and found it for me, and held it until I came to pick it up the next day. I’d never met the guy, his dad was working when I was there shooting. This is the place you want to shoot if you live in the triad area.

Spent a Sunday afternoon at Shane’s and had a blast with my son and a friend. Very friendly folks and reasonable prices. The 14 station course was excellent and kept each trap well-loaded with clays. I highly recommend it, even for a newbie to shotgun golf…bring your recoil pad!

Shane and his dad Tom are two of the nicest folks you’ll meet. The sporting clays course is always fun to shoot and the course, traps, and targets are always in top shape. Every time I’m near Greensboro, I always make it a point to visit and shoot a few clays. Looking forward to the next time I can visit!

Shane’s Sporting Clays offers a challenging and fun course with a good variety of presentations which closely approximate what you see in the field. The owners change the traps around often so it always seems new. I have visited a number of times and have always enjoyed this club. It is a great place to sharpen your shooting skill whether you hunt or shoot only clay targets. Don’t miss the 5 stand wobble trap while you are there.

Superior. I coach a middle school shooting team in Western North Carolina. While on our way to the state tournament in Ellerbe, we went a little out of our way to get to Shane’s and it was well worth it. Everyone was extremely nice. Great course. I think they had 16 stations and a cool “wobble” set up. We will be sure to stop anytime we are traveling through the Greensboro area. Thanks Shane.

EXCELLENT FACILITY. I have shot at Shane’s many times and I enjoyed it each time. Shane sets up a course that has some easy shots and some really tough shots so it is perfect for the beginner and veteran. His staff is very nice and Shane is a great guy. Don’t miss the Ducks Unlimited Shoot in September or the Drake Naylor Invitational in May.

What a staff! I’ve been twice for events of 50+ shooters and once with two friends. Everyone we saw was so helpful (I had a bit of rust and my action was sticking, they cleaned and greased my gun for no charge.

Will go again . . . hopefully soon

Shane’s is a perfect place to shoot clays. Everyone there is overly friendly and helpful. They have automated clay stands that make it easy to transition through the course. The stands are challenging and always a lot of fun. I always take new guys out to Shane’s and they want to keep going back after their first visit. Wonderful place, wonderful people!

I have shot at more than 6 clay locations around North Carolina and South Carolina. I like Shane’s the best!

This is a great course convenient for the triad area. The owner and his family are very accommodating and helpful. There are 14 stations all automated. The course set up changes every few months to keep you challenged. The membership fee is worth the money if you like to shoot at least once a week.

My visit to Shane’s was my first experience shooting clays. The course was laid out well and the staff was quite helpful. Shane also advised me on the proper fit of an O/U that I am planning to buy. First class operational. I will visit again soon.

Our first visit was for my nephew’s 14th birthday. It was my first time shooting clays, and his first time firing a shotgun. The staff did an excellent job, giving us pointers, helping teach my nephew proper gun handling, and just making us feel welcome. I will definitely be back, and will also recommend this club to friends who are interested in shooting clays. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Excellent facillity, challenging targets, freindly staff. An easily walkable course. What more could you ask for!

Great place to shoot. The course is not as spread out like some courses that are up to a mile or more long. You can easily walk this course with no problem.

Excellent location, excellent people. Great place. The staff is top notch. Even the resident lab, Cooper, is in public relations, greeting all the guests and searching their vehicles for food.

Excellent location and setup for piedmont area clay sports enthusiasts. If you live in the area or are just passing through I would recommend a stop at Shane’s. Shoot a round or two and you’ll likely be back for a return visit. The owners and staff are super nice folks!
