I recently visited Elko for two weeks. The first Saturday I was there, I went to Spring Creek. I believe that they list their hours as 9:00 to 3:00. I arrived at ab0ut 11:30 AM, and the manager told me that there would not be any more squads going out. He did offer to send me out on my own with a trap boy. I explained that this was not much fun. He said he had a big shoot the next day, and asked about the following weekend. He said, sure come next weekend. So I did, at 8:50 am to be sure I could get on a squad. By 9:30 there was only a few young shooters and their parents standing around outside. So I went looking for the manager. He told me that they had a youth group shooting, and that no other shooters would be around. So, once again, I struck out.

I shot here for the 2006 Nevada State Skeet Shooting Championships. I have to say that this is one of my favorite clubs in the whole state and I can’t wait to get back there soon. Moe Matys is an excellent host. The club is well run and the staff make you feel welcome. The targets are good. All of the fields are kept up. There is nothing better than Elko in the late summer and shooting with good friends at a relaxed atmosphere like Spring Creek. You need to shoot here.
