Excellent club. Sporting clays is hard enough to be interesting but not ridiculous. Also can warm up on trap, skeet or bunker trap. “JB” is a great manager of this facility. Worth visiting.

Outstanding facility, clubhouse newly remodeled, trap, skeet and sporting clays fields are immaculate and more importantly the management and staff are friendly and very helpful. Best shotgun sports complex in Missouri.

Visited last Friday, November 7, to shoot sporting clays. Nice course, looks really new, 12 stations, 2 traps per station, well built, challenging. However, as if on cue, one of the guys on my squad said something like, “Isn’t it great to shoot a course where everything works.” Well, that was on station 8; on 3 of the last 4 stations, battery problems struck one of the traps. At station 9, another shooter told us he had called-in the problems he had encountered, and someone “would be right out”. We finished the course, using just one trap on those 3 problem stations, and never did see anyone coming out to fix things.
We finished up and asked about shooting their international trap field. We were told it was shut down, but we could come back Sunday and it would be available. After a really good experience at Ozark Shooters on Saturday, we were headed home Sunday and stopped in at St Louis T&S, only to find out the international trap field had been shut down for the winter. Ok, so we’ll shoot the 5-stand. We had no trapper, so one our our guys had to sit out to push buttons. Target menus were absent, as was a scoresheet. The trap numbers didn’t match the button numbers, and 2 of 8 traps didn’t work at all. IT IS DOUBTFUL WE WILL EVER RETURN, which is a pity, because the equipment was generally very good; if it worked, it worked well. Good potential, but management needs to clean up its act.

There have been tremendous improvements at St. Louis Skeet & Trap during the past 3 years. Virtually every aspect of all of the facilities have been upgraded. Come out and enjoy if you are in the area.

I joined the club recently after a half dozen or so visits to shoot trap with a friend of mine who belongs to the Arnold, MO gun club. We shot at Gateway and his club and found that we both liked St. Louis Trap and Skeet the best. I joined since Arnold is too far to drive on a regular basis and although Gateway is closer to me, St. Louis is in my opinion a better facility with more options for the shooter. Since we’re both crusty old retired guys we thought the staff were certainly helpful and friendly enough with nobody giving you the “bums rush” on the first day. Seemed like a good deal for Seniors, too (1/2 price on the family membership).

I just wanted to express my appreciation of and recommendation for St. Louis Skeet and Trap in Pacific, just outside of St. Louis where I traveled for a conference a couple weeks ago. The staff at SLS&T was very friendly, professional and accommodating, and the fields were very clean, and my visit was quite enjoyable. I would highly recommend going to there if you are ever in the area.
Make sure to get in touch with Jason on particular. He got me set up, and was very helpful.

Very nice club. The facility has a new manager, Rex Powers. He gave us a personal tour of the grounds and was very welcoming. The rest of the staff were very friendly and went out of their way to introduce themselves. Plenty of trap and skeet. Five stand and sporting clays were nice. There were golf carts available for rent which is good since the sporting clays course is 7/10 of a mile long. The club house rents guns, has plenty of ammo, and is confrontable.

As a new participant in this sport, I tried several places in the St. Louis area: this is the best. The facilities are top-notch and the people are helpful. I am especially appreciative of the help and information I get from the members. The staff is courteous and helpful. The cost is very reasonable for what you get in facilities and services.

Nice place. I found the staff to be friendly — both to me and to the group in front of me (who all looked like noobs to me).
The voice-activated system wasn’t working too good on my trap field, but the facility was well laid out and in good shape overall. I would have preferred more benches or tables at each station, however. There were only two of us — if it had been a whole crew, there wouldn’t have been enough room for bags, gun cases, etc.
Didn’t try the sporting clays course, as it looked really long (100 rds) — but will try it one day. They need to have golf carts to rent…

Convenient to St. Louis. Five second delay on sporting clays trap release is nice so you can shoot solo. Most expensive course I shoot at. Not always most welcoming counter staff but the fellow shooters are friendly. The training session with an instructor was excellent.

I don’t get it. Great club, great facilities, great targets, 5-stand, sporting clays, international trap and skeet, wobble trap, clean club house, including the men’s room. Experienced shooters willing to help, what’s the issue? A person behind the desk that might be a little grumpy once in a while, I can understand that considering some of the folks who show up at shooting clubs sometimes. The manager has to make sure people going out on the fields know what they’re doing for insurance purposes. You get several people who have never shot before and think they have the right to can be a little aggravating. I’d rather have someone behind the desk who asks questions so I know I’m not going to get sprayed from the next field. This club has it’s act together. I’ve been to some clubs that will let anyone shoot.

This club has everything to offer the shotgun enthusiast: trap, Skeet, International Bunker, 5-Stand and Sporting Clays. The place has never been cleaner and most folks welcome all levels of shooters. As for the staff, they sometimes must deal with the public who often think they know safe shooting but don’t. They stress safety and I am glad they do. Also, on busy days things can get hectic but I have found that you usually get what you give from all the staff. If you enjoy the shotgun sports I would recommend you give it a try.

I have been there about 10 times. Great sporting clay course and 5 stand. The staff I have found to be unfriendly and not helpful. Every time I am there, I think the front desk is having a bad day, but it is the same every time. I think I will be moving on to another club.

I liked the fact that it has voice operated traps so you can shoot alone. They are not very friendly for my first time visit. They did nothing to make me feel welcome or want to come back. There members seem to be treated well. I was treated like an outsider invading their private space.

Sporting Clays course added in October, 2006. Have not had a chance to try it yet. Supposed to be a 100 rd course. Also has a good 5-stand course. Both SC and 5-Stand separated from trap/skeet fields.

Great place to shoot. Clubs members are personable and will gladly help you learn to shoot skeet/trap or offer helpful advice to improve your game. Rudy knows his stuff, and the facility is very nice.

Great shooting facility. Plenty of ranges to shoot at so there is little waiting. Five stand range is laid out very well. Take an afternoon off and go shoot.
