While visiting family and friends in Bethany Beach, DE for Thanksgiving we decided to look for a place to shoot a round of trap and skeet. I found Synepuxent Gun Club through this website and am glad I did. Five of us showed up on a Saturday morning where we met Bill, the club manager. He welcomed us and got us all set up. It was not crowded so we were able to take our time helping the three first-time shooters we had with us. Everyone had a blast shooting skeet, so we moved over to the trap field. One of the regular members showed us how to use the voice-activation system for calling for targets and then he and another regular shot a round of trap so we could observe. It really helped the new shooters in our group understand what they would need to do. After our round of trap we had a cold drink in the club house while Bill told us about the history of the club and the community service activities they do like hosting the boy scouts for turkey shoots and donating the use of the range for hunter safety courses. Bottom line, we couldn’t have had a better experience and will definitely return. Highly recommended!

20-30 minutes from most Delmarva beaches. Hosts ATA shoots periodically. Club has good food (burgers, fries, etc.) and great chocolate cake. Lots of trap fields, fairly uniform treeline and distant backdrop with a nice report from the trees! My son and I shoot there during our beach trips and the regulars are welcoming and friendly.

This club is my home away from home. My family spends a lot of the summer at the beach and this club has been fantastic. They treat kids like gold and go out of their way to make your experience one to remember. In my opinion, this is one of the best ranges, for the targets and people, that I have ever been to!

Synepuxent is a great club where you can always find people to shoot Trap or 5-stand together. For the Skeet field they have a voice release microphone that can be checked in and out for when you’re by yourself. The trap fields can throw singles, 2 fields for doubles, and one of those can throw wobble trap. They also have generously donated to my collegiate shotgun team at Virginia Tech and its a great location for practice or ATA shoots. For the serious shooter or the casual shooter, Synepuxent is a great club to shoot at.

I had a chance to visit Synepuxent Gun Club and shoot with several of its’ members while my family was vacationing in Ocean City, MD. EVERYONE there was very friendly and made me feel right at home. The club has several trap fields and a nice skeet set up. Their 5 stand was awesome! It has a very challenging combination of clays to shoot. Targets are changed every round to give you all sorts of pair combinations. If you’re going anywhere nearby and want to do some shooting, you should check this place out. You will not be disappointed! I plan on stopping back every time I’m in the area. Thanks for a great vacation experience gentlemen.

It’s a 52 mile drive one way to the club from my home 18 miles south of Chincoteague, VA but well worth it. Great guys, friendly and ready to help. Great events including ATA shoots. Well run, good food. Very relaxing, no pressure. Close to Ocean City, MD for those vacationing shooters who get tired of the beach and board walk scene, need a break from wife and kids. I Moved from Balto., MD area with 5 clubs within 20 minutes and this club is second to none. Glad I joined.
