  1. Relationship to facility: Visitor
    Number of visits: Once

I was invited to shoot here by Mr. Roy Cheeks and had a wonderful time. Considering how small this 1 field trap range is, there is never a dull moment as squads take the field, shoot their game, and the next one steps up without hesitation. Everyone is friendly, keeps a good rhythm, and the trap throws perfect targets. Remote voice activated pullers havent invaded this range yet. They still use good old fashion pullers in a chair that call out your score, the right way. Visitors pay 4.00 a game. The locals say they are planning to install lights soon, so until then, shooting stops at sunset. The backdrop is odd, but if you know the story as to why, it makes sense. Years ago, a neighbor complained about shot going on his property, so the range moved the trap bunker so it wouldn’t. but now, the clubs bbq pavilion is smack dab down range and shot bounces off the building as they shoot. They have tarps to keep lead from spreading under the roof and on to the picnic tables. You can hear the shot dribbling down the tin roof as you shoot. But hey, no one cares, its their club and that’s what they like. I certainly didn’t mind. A small shack next to the parking lot keeps shooters warm in the winter and most shooting is done by 12:30, so if you come, come early before 10am on Sundays and 5:30pm on Thursdays, and get squaded up. If you’re a diehard trap shooter, you’ll like this club. I enjoyed this visit and will return again.
