First of all this is a review of disappointment. I did my first clay shooting at this range. The very beginning the clay fields had a 5-stand field which i could use for sporting clays practice and had a great array of different styles of targets the variety made that field the best fun. Now the range manager has forbidden any modifications of the intended field so you just have regulation-trap, skeet & international skeet this is just to monotonous. Also i still do not understand how management has removed all water coolers and drinking fountains from the outdoor ranges for employees and shooters-water is not a luxury it is a necessity! Management should have a better schedule so shooting can start on time and not a 1/2 hour later because the fields are not set-up. This is all getting worst. It is a shame because the location is great. i tried calling the county and they have no interest. I hope someone pays attention to my concerns there are other shooters whom think the same.

One skeet range is set up for international (ISSF) speeds, the rest are set for NSSA rules. Some of the people that work there are familiar with international skeet, shoot competition themselves, and are helpful at that field. Would advise to call ahead to confirm that someone will be there to open and run the field.

The place is good, staff is nice, is a shame that they closed the five stand, is a shame that they only open 2 fields for skeet and 2 for trap during nights they must open more fields based on occupation/request, sometimes gets full (thursday and friday nights), sometimes you can’t shoot because there’s too many people in line.
With the shotgun rentals they are okay but they should make an introductory security and training video for skeet and trap for the new ones and rentals can know the basics, the same the do for the pistol and rifle range but for shotguns.

The facility is very safe and has all rules for a good time there,
As a public Miami-Dade place, has some inconvenience, it only could be solved the county, not the staff. By the way, the staff is very nice and diligent. I like this outdoor facility and my home too.

Very safe! Great staff. Always willing to help with gun jams, and chit chat with you when the it’s slow…
Great prices. And bring your own ammo…. How can you beat that!
9 bucks all you can shoot, bring ur own ammo and they give you 1 target.
8.50 for trap on the weekends and 5.00 during the week.
Love it

The upgrade of the rifle and pistol side is complete. The range will open for business at 9AM, 01/03/10. The overall work is a combination of functional and dysfunctional ideas. They have increased the lanes available and installed well made wood shooting platforms. Unfortunately they have combined these with some ridiculous small(18 inch)bar stools, so the shooting is uncomfortable and awkward. On the pistol side, the only way to access your target is lifting two shooting stations to create access to the field. The control house does not have a good field of view of the range and is physically 30 feet behind it. From the outside it looks great and modern, good protection from the elements, but the details are rather odd.

Nice place where to go and spend quality time with family and friends.
International and American skeet ranges are nice and the range officers knowledgeable. The place lacks some amenities such as a cafeteria which will be an asset for it. Cost per round has increased a lot, making difficult for some people to continue practicing and or participating.
Overall, I am satisfied with the facilities.

Since the early 1970’s when I worked here pulling skeet on weekends as a teenager, this has been the model full service range with facilities hard to beat. Now returning after being away for years, it is still the same, nice, comfortable, friendly and most importantly, SAFE. Excellent staff, required safety course, and adequate personnel to keep order. I return now as an NRA instructor and really enjoy bringing my students to this facility. Good Job Trail Glades….

Great place, rentals available for those who don’t own a shotgun. Plenty of skeet/trap towers, so you should always have the opportunity to shoot. Great range as well if you have a rifle, pistol or shotgun you want to shoot. 10/10
