Would love to shoot at your range but can’t find anyone who will call me back to explain how to get registered to come on base to get to range. Been to visitor center but no help. I come to PCB for winter and I love to shoot. So if anyone could tell me how I would appreciate it.

Visited Tyndall AFB trap range this winter (2017). My kudos go to Ron and Richard for their assistance. Thanks to Ron, I was able to obtain a recreational pass for base access in just two days! I used the trap range about 10 times. The targets on Thursday night are a little tough…makes you concentrate more!
If you are in the Panama City area, bring your shotgun and try Tyndall AFB.

This is not a review of the club. This is an observation. I am retired from the USAF and I am living in Middleburg Florida near Jax Naval Air Station in Jacksonville Florida where I am a member of the Skeet and Trap Range owned by Navy MWR. We have members that are trained range masters and they have keys to the gate of the range and the club itself runs the range. The range masters collects fees, memberships, and sales items from the club. The records of the collections and monies collected are keep and turned over to MWR. This procedure has made it possible for the range to be open more days.
I was stationed at Tyndall in the 70’s and 80’s and we attempted to start a skeet range with no success. I will be visiting Tyndall during the summer and am looking forward to shooting at the range.
Hope this has been helpful.

Tyndall skeet and trap has been almost nonexistant since 9/11 placed their priorities elsewhere. I have been shooting there the past year with a small group of diehards. The range is owned by Special Services but they had no one to operate it except for volunteers. This resulted in the ranges being open sporadically from 9 am to 1 pm only on Saturdays. Recently a Special Services employee has been assigned to open the ranges on Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm. They are hoping to attract more shooters in order to justify more hours.
This is an invitation to all trap and skeet shooters in the Panama City, FL area to utilize the range facilities. There are three combination skeet and trap fields. One of the skeet fields is used when needed for International Skeet as one of the officers is a member of the Air Force International Skeet Team and he needs the practice.
Current fees are $3.50 per round. There are no membership fees or requirements. The range is easily accessible from the Sabre Drive Gate.
Non Department of Defense folks will have the gate guard call the skeet range operator (819-9347) for permission to enter the base. The driver of the vehicle must have his drivers license, registration and proof of insurance. After the first visit, the guard will have a list of names of those to let in without the call.
After entering the gate there will be an imediate left turn on Bambi Trail for about one mile to a three way stop dead end. Then turn right on Beacon Beach Road for about 1/4 mile. The ranges are on the left.
