I highly recommend a visit to Vanzant to shoot at their secluded range surrounded by beautiful views. Bob and Sarah are great hosts. You can get away from it all and relax in a nice country environment while enjoying some great shotgun shooting. From beginners to veteran shooters, there is something for everyone and the atmosphere is laid back and low pressure. You will definitely enjoy your visit to this range.

This was my 2nd shoot at the Vanzant Clay Pigeon Farm. It’s a great facility & Bob is a very good & patient instructor. There were the standard trap & skeet at the shoot. But bob has added several fun & exciting games. The turkey shoot, duck boat, Annie Oakleys & the 50 yard line shoot off. Plus we also had some night shooting.

It’s a fun place to shoot & I’ll be back for more.

Vanzant Clay Pigeon Farm is a great Trap and Skeet field well worth the short trip south of Mountain Grove. Owner is retired seal team member (was on Navy’s Skeet & Pistol Team) and very willing to provide expert instruction. Semi-annual “Shoot and Hoot” events in April and October, with friendly folks participating who are like family. Cozy clubhouse for relaxing between games with lots of memorabilia to enjoy. Come and join us!

April 8 and 9 was the latest iteration of Bobski’s unique Spring Hoot and Shoot. Attendance was down a bit, but those of us who did show up had a great time visiting and shooting the multiple events Bobski throws at us every year. Bob and his lovely wife Sarah were gracious hosts and made everyone feel special. The weather was a bit dicey on Friday afternoon and evening, with shooters dealing with ice pellets and gusty winds and the temps dipping below freezing overnight. I came out of my travel trailer parked on site to be greeted by a layer of frost on everything, but so typical of Ozark spring weather, the sun came out, the winds died down and we enjoyed a wonderful day with all the shooting anyone could ask for. Well done Bob and Sarah.

Just attended the April 21 “Hoot and Shoot” at Vanzant and had a great time. This was my first visit and everyone went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Bob and Sarah are great hosts and are already trying to help make your visit a pleasure.

The shoot was a lot of fun. The facility is remote and in a beautiful area.

I’m not a very competitive shooter but felt I like a fit right in and the instruction I received for the new games I shot was especially helpful. Definitely going to plan a return trip.

I went to an event there and had a great time. The people participating were friendly. Bob and Sarah put on a great event. They had not only traditional games, but also had some inventive and challenging games as well. For a good time, with good people, I recommend visiting them.

Just attended a marvelous five-game friendly competition at Vanzant. Very nice Trap and Skeet facilities (dual fields), with innovative new games. Club has a rustic, comfortable club house. Bob and Sarah organize a great event, including great pot-luck lunch, prizes for may categories, and public recognition of winners. Most importantly, Vanzant events draw a good group of folks who become ready friends. Highly recommend attending Vanzant events!

I just returned from the Spring 2019 “Hoot & Shoot” @ the Vanzant Clay Pigeon Farm. What a delightful time! Bob and Sarah go way out of their way to make sure everyone is made to feel welcome and at home throughout their stay. Although billed as an ‘old fashioned’ trap and skeet range, the facility is up-to-date with a comfortable club house, camp sites, in a beautiful Ozark setting. The participants ranged from silver haired(or in my case…’no hair’) veteran shooters to inexperienced shooters as young as 9 yrs. old. All mixed very well and participated in all events. Many of the younger shooters won several of the events so if you are new to shooting T & S don’t hesitate joining in future shoots. You, too, could take home a nice trophy or some prizes and have a heck of a good time shooting for two days in a beautiful setting!

This is a great facility. If you want one on one training on learning the game of skeet or trap this is the place. Bob will take the time to show you how to shoot. He’s a very good teacher & has the patience of Job. If he can teach me skeet—he sure can do the same for you.

The facility is clean and well kept. Targets are good, there is a great back drop for high scores.

I’m going to shoot there again on my next trip into MO.

I went to an April shoot at Vanzant. As a newby I was given instruction and guidance all the way for both days. It is a nice range and secluded enough to have a real country feel. The owners are people I hold in the highest regard. I went there on someone’s recommendation and it was a fun and safe learning environment. I will go there again. J.D. Quigley

I attended the springtime 2 day shooting event hosted by Bob and his gracious wife, Sarah, and had a great time. I got outside my comfort zone and shot some new shooting games that I probably would never have done in another setting. I think all participants enjoyed everything as much as I did. The facilities are great, with two fields, one for skeet only and the other a skeet/trap field. The layout Bob used takes maximum advantage of the terrain to provide one of the best backdrops for clay shooting I’ve ever seen. I towed my travel trailer down there and camped overnight on site with power and water available. The event was exceptionally well run by Bob, who was also available to help those who needed coaching (and who doesn’t on occasion). This is definitely on my list of events to return to. Well done Bob and Sarah.

Took my daughter to Bob at Vanzant to help her with her trap and skeet shooting. I was super impressed with his knowledge and professionalism. He was very in depth with his coaching and fundamentals not just at the range but in the classroom training as well. We feel very fortunate he would have us out to his club. We will be going back as long as Bob will have us. Many thanks.

I visited for my first shoot and hoot in October 2017 and had a blast. The facility is in great shape and the people were a blast. The other shooters were all like a big family that welcomed me and we had a good time.
I plan to make it to the next shoot that Bob put’s on and look forward to enjoying the experience again.

The drive to the range can be long but relatively peaceful (which may be surprising since the intent is usually to pulverize brightly colored clay objects in midair using controlled explosions of many smaller projectiles). Upon arrival, you’re welcomed by the owners Bob and Sarah, as well as the caretaker, Robert. Experienced shooters will find an efficient and professional environment where they can rediscover that unhurried pleasure of the sport. New shooters will find a calm, patient, and productive learning environment. Both new and experienced shooters are required to review the range rules and encouraged to maintain a safe vigilance around their firearms. Even non-shooters can still enjoy the view from the quiet, unassuming countryside.

If your group is looking to hold an event in the South-Central Missouri area, this should absolutely be high on your list of options.

My son white had just been introduced to the sport of trap had a one on one with Bob. It was an amazing experience. My son and I learned more in that one half of a day and we had three months prior to that in the trap program with his school. Very safe very professional atmosphere just an amazing bunch of people so kind and hospitable. Look forward to doing this again in the future.

Attended the Shoot & Hoot Oct 2015 and had a blast. Bob, Bill, Sarah and Robert Scott are top notch hosts and Bob abd Bill could have only been more helpful if they had shot the birds for you. Great instructions and fun ribbing. I’ll be back.

Most of the previous reviews have already expressed my views, so I’ll be brief, its a nice compact family run skeet/trap club with two dials, its located in the sticks about 100 miles east of Springfield, MO. The staff and owner could not of been more helpful with coaching tips and support and the outing was a near magical event for myself. Its well worth a 2-3 hour drive…

I attended the April, 2015 Hoot and Shoot at the Vanzant Clay Pigeon Farm this past weekend.
This was my first visit to the range, and my first attempt at Trap and Skeet. Bob is a amazing instructor and easy to understand. I felt right at home.
I highly recommend that anyone interested in visiting this range to do so. You will not be disappointed.
I will be back for another visit.

This was a great trip for me and the wife, lots of friendly people and the instruction was top notch by Bob.

Now the wife and I have decided to get an O/U 12ga and do the hoot and shoot twice a year. Bob’s wife Sarah was extremely polite and nice to us we felt like we had been going there for years with all the great hospitality……see everybody in October.

My first time ever shooting trap or skeet and it was awesome. I think I’ve definitely found myself a new obsession. I took my tent and camped out at the farm for a few days for the FTF shoot and hoot and had a great time. The location is absolutely beautiful, Bob and Robert, the rangemaster are great and Bob’s wife Sarah is the kindest woman I have ever met. Bob is a great instructor and taught me very well and also gave me some recommendations about getting a shotgun that fits me better.

Was at the club again this past weekend and had a blast(no pun).
It is ran by some very fine and knowledgeable folks and well taken care of. A little out of the way but that makes it one of the attractions and is well worth the drive thru some beautiful country. Will be returning soon.

I just returned home from the 4th ‘Shoot n Hoot’ at this club. I cannot remember when I have had more fun! Our hosts, Bob and Sarah, went out of their way to make everyone feel like family, not just visitors. Other shooters who had been here before brought lunch for everyone. Others donated prizes. This event is tailored towards beginning shooters and I highly recommend that you give it a try.
The facility is beautifully maintained by the owner and his manager, Robert Scott.
It is a little out of the way but the directions will bring you right to it. I just can’t say enough good things about this club! It’s quite a drive for me but I will be returning on a regular basis.

We attended the “shoot and hoot” this Spring with our teenage daughter. We had a great time! It was a great way to spend time as a family. Bob spent detailed instruction time with our daughter and made her feel on top of the world with his enthusiastic encouragement of how well she did! We highly recommend the Vanzant Clay Pigeon Farm and plan to spend more time there with our family.

Came to the 2nd FTF Shoot & Hoot in October 2013. Didn’t shoot too well and the 12ga beat my shoulder up pretty bad. I decided I should try cutting back a little and bought myself a Weatherby 20ga gas operated semi-auto. What a difference. Came to the 3rd FTF Shoot & Hoot in April 2014. Shot on Friday. Got some EXCELLENT tips and training from Bob. We checked the pattern in my gun. It was off (low and right). Bob advised ways to correct for that. I did pretty well on some games with his help. I plan to get the gun fixed so I can shoot properly and not blame the gun for my misses!!!

Strongly recommend that anyone interested in shotgun games come and try out this range. Very well equipped. Support staff is extremely helpful. If you can get there when Bob is there for training you WILL improve!

Follow us on FirearmsTalkForum to see upcoming event scheduling and to reserve your place in the next Shoot & Hoot. If you’re good, come to shoot. If you’re not sure you’re good, come to hoot at those of us who aren’t so good! I promise you’ll have a good time either way!

Just attended a second “shoot and hoot” at the Vanzant Clay Pigeon Farm, and had an extremely enjoyable day. The Club boasts a combined Trap/Skeet Range and second Skeet Range, and great clubhouse with facilities, including porch for watching the shooting. Three teams enjoyed a full day of Trap, Skeet, International Skeet, Doc Adams, Poor Man’s Five Stand, and Annie Oakley games under the control and expert instruction of the owner, Bob Kuczynski, hosting by his wife Sarah, and full-time range operator Robert Scott. Bob gave personal attention to everyone, and particularly focused on two “first-timers”, who thoroughly enjoyed the experience. While it was a competition, it was also a great learning experience, and a time to renew friendships and bond new ones with other folks. Excellent lighted course for night shooting. Highly recommended!

I participated in a “Shoot n Hoot” event put on by the owner, Bob and his staff, on Saturday, Oct 3, 2013. This was organized on the FirearmsTalk website forum. The event was a great success! There were approx 20 of us attending the event and Bob and his staff did a terrific job teaching us the basics of Trap and Skeet shooting along with making us feel very welcome and at home during the entire event. The atmosphere was very relaxed and stress free. We are planning another event in April 2014 and I will definitely be there. Take the time to shoot at the Vanzant Clay Pigeon Farm…you wont be disappointed!

Highly recommend this trap-skeet field in a beautiful Missouri Ozark setting for a well-run operation and knowledgeable, friendly staff. Will definitely make more trips here to shoot.

Pros: Very nice facilities – convenient clubhouse with warm family feeling, fridge, microwave, lots of tables & chairs, new & reload ammo purchase, loaner guns. Club has porch overlooking the main trap & skeet field. Field well kept, good concrete walkways, benches for sitting.
Floodlights very effective for night shooting. Owner Bob and Field Supervisor Robert very efficient operating range. Bob very willing to share expertise with personal, constructive instruction and shooting critiques. Great personal attention by staff.

Cons: A bit “out of the way”, but worth the travel – all good roads for access

I highly recommend this Range! Thank you, Bob, Sarah, and Robert for a memorable and fun day. Really enjoyed the facilities and company. Your shooting instruction was much appreciated, and thanks for helping friend Dennis with the loaner 20-gauge. Great intro to a number of shotgungames with a bunch of good folks. Looking forward to the next visit!

I spent a Saturday at this facility with several friends learning skeet and trap shooting. I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor or a more well run skeet and trap shoot place. The owners and caretaker are wonderful people so eager to please and teach. I can’t think of one moment there that I wasn’t pleased with what I saw and experienced. I would highly recommend Vanzant Clay Pigeon Farm if you want to learn to shoot skeet and trap or if you are an experienced shooter wanting somewhere to shoot. A great place run by wonderful people.

This is owned, run and maintained by a man that understands his profession, is capable of training others in his profession, and has the patients to handle people that don’t know which end of the shotgun goes down range and smart enough to handle those that have special problems. The owner has left nothing to chance and let’s no one wallow in ignorance. Training is fast and thorough and everyone had fun even in inclement weather! Guns, ammo, equipment and even drinks are available to students in the club house and little is left to distract you from training. You will leave with a wealth of knowledge, even if you came absolutely ignorant about the sports.

WOW! Another great time at the Vanzant Clay Pigeon Farm. It was the “2nd FTF Shotgun Shoot & Hoot”. My Son-in-Law was with me this trip. We both had a great time. This range is in one of the most beautiful settings you will ever find. Bob and Robert are great hosts! My Son-in-Law says he plans to return too. He is the experienced skeet shooter in the family and was impressed. His comment was “Bob is the best shooting coach I have ever seen”

Will definitely be going back and looking forward to it.

We attended Vanzant Clay Pigeon Farm for the first time for a beginner trap & skeet shoot. We expected to get to shoot trap & skeet, but didn’t expect the amazing views! This range is nestled back in the scenic Ozark mountains and leaves your eyes satisfied and your heart warm. The majestic views pale in comparison to the hospitality of Bob and his wife. They made everyone feel welcome and comfortable both on the range and in the clubhouse. Bob is a championed world-class shooter, but has a gift to share his expertise with novices. Multiple games were played to show off the varied possibilities of the sport and Robert kept the place running flawlessly, even during some rain.

I would recommend others to visit the Vanzant Clay Pigeon Farm to enjoy a get-a-way and know I will be back for the next event for more shooting and conversation with others. – Mark @ http://www.GunSupplyOutlet.com

The two skeet fields are nicely laid out and the arrangemet of the trap house on the main field is perfectly positioned for additional shooting games beyond standard trap and skeet. It also provides great practice for upcomming game bird seasons.

I highly recommend this facility and recommend you meet and enjoy the company of both Bobs. Bob the owner/instructor/mater shooter and Bob the rangemaster/caretaker and operator.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there and I know you will too.

I had the pleasure of attending a skeet and trap meet at this facility this weekend. The site is in a very beautiful setting. They have a nice clubhouse that is very comfortable. Pick nick tables under the shade trees make for a nice setting.

Bob the owner is a world class clay shooter with world class skills. He offers classes and private lessons. Bob is very friendly and helpful.

Our forum staged a meet and this facility. It was well worth the 500 mile drive I and several other members made to attend this meet. We plan on having other meets ant Bob’s facility and I will make the 500 mi drive again.

VanZant is a terrific and beautiful place to shoot skeet and/or trap. It is a small club in a fantastic setting with a comfortable clubhouse and friendly folks to run it. Prices are very reasonable and the owner will go out of his way to accommodate you. They are just getting started up again after changing ownership. The place is clean and well groomed, soft drinks and coffee are available, ammunition is sold at reasonable prices, and there are several great shade tree out front with a couple picnic tables for a break between rounds. I will be back with friends whenever I can make it. It is well over a 200 mile trip for me.

It is with great pleasure that I announce the opening of the Vanzant Clay Pigeon Farm. Formerly known as the Vanzant Skeet & Trap Range, we now continue to offer traditional skeet and trap to our guests. We have chosen to leave technology behind and stuck with a time proven, simple, and safe shooting environment. We use old fashioned everything: a dirt road entrance, no street lights, vintage Winchester machines, land line phones, cash only, and push button cords on the fields. The area is pretty much a dead zone for cell phones, so you might as well leave your technology behind and travel back in time.

Our farm is very secluded. We like it that way. The goal is to allow shooters a chance to escape the stress of fast living, shoot without worries, and relax at a wonderful location in the Ozarks, that boarders the Mark Twain National Forest. The down range view is spectacular. Our clubhouse is heated and air conditioned, and has running water. Unlike typical public ranges, state run organizations, or governed clubs, this range is my private range. You will feel like you’re shooting in my backyard, because you are! We have 2 skeet fields and one trap overlay to enjoy.
When you shoot here, you are our personal guest and we will treat you as such. So expect a good time to be had by all, and to go away with a lasting memory.

The primary mission of the range is to teach new shotgun shooters and offer a peaceful undisturbed shooting retreat to guests wanting to practice the sport of skeet and trap. Need to pattern your shotgun? We can help with that too.

We offer NRA certified instruction and my very own time proven instruction developed over many decades of teaching in the military and from a memorable professional shooting career. We will accept 5.00 a game and 250.00 for skeet/trap instruction. Call for details. At your request, we will also coach practicing shooters and offer written critiques for 50.00 an hour. Call for details.

Small campers are encouraged if you’d like to stay the night, since town is a long way off. I don’t have hookups or a shower, so come self contained.

So, bring your friends, bring your guns, and have a great visit. We look forward to shooting with you!
