I love this place. It’s close to home, the people are friendly and it’s a great deal for the price.

Winchester is a great place to shoot — it’s just pretty far from where I stay in St. Louis.
The staff is very helpful. I like the fact that a staff member pulls for you (and is there to keep an eye on the range when new shooters are around). When you factor in that the shell price is included, it’s a great deal.
I’ve shot trap and skeet both, and have never had to wait very long on a Sat. AM.

As a construction Quality Manager I have the opportunity to travel and work in several of our Great United States and shoot at many different Gun Clubs. I have always preferred the western states Trap & Skeet clubs because of how friendly and helpful the members and patrons were.
Since I have been transferred to the Illinois area I started shooting at the Winchester Trap & Skeet Club and I do not think I have ever met any more friendly or helpful folks on any of my travels and short stays. If anyone has the chance when passing thru or working in this area I recommend they stop and shoot or just enjoy the trap & skeet talk with this group of field officers and shooters, plus you can watch all of the many Wild Turkey and Deer that live in harmony with the Gun Club, really something to see.

I used to shoot on a trap league here when I was in high school. Everyone was always very helpful and were willing to give coaching advice to shooters with experience levels from beginner to expert. Shotguns are provided at no additional cost and are in good operating order. If anyone wants to take up trap shooting this is the place to do it.

Probably the best range I’ve been to. If you’re not an Olin/Winchester employee, a round is $9.00 including “AA” shells. If you’re an employee it’s $6.00 a round. A bargain either way! The staff is friendly, and helpful as well. Don’t have a gun? No problem…you can borrow one for free…same thing with glasses, ear plugs, and a vest. The only draw back are the hours. Only open three days a week is terrible!

Olin is about 30 north of St. Louis. It is owned and operated by Olin manufacture of Winchester shells. It has great clays and is quit a bargain. For $8 you get a round of clays, a box of AA Winchester shells, and a trap person to pull and keep score. Also if you don’t have a gun you can use one of theirs at NC and get your choice of several Winchester and Browning models. They are very safety conscious and everyone is friendly and very helpful. They have limited hours which is frustrating. Also you have to use their shells, which is fine with me, but others may not like. Sometimes they are a little busy with leagues and this may limit your shooting. If you live in or near St. Louis it is probably the best facility around.
