Ck in at the office. Everyone was nice and helpful. We went and did our shooting. This is one of the nicest sporting clay courses I have been on. All machines were working great and the the place was nice and clean.

Thank you for having such a nice place to shoot

Not my first choice for sporting clays. Overall has a nice course setup and beautiful stations with a nice club house for big shoots and that’s where it ends for me. I really do not like the way the staff treats people. You can ask a question but be ready to get to feel stupid because if you are not on their level or a AA shooter your questions are a waste of time to them.i have been out to this course quite of few times and just never feel welcome and the bad things is they are the only ones in a 200 mile radius with registered shoots. the prices are par to others about $40 per round but cart rentals are crazy around &30 for less than an hour use. My whole family which are clay shooters came in town for Christmas looking foward to go out and shoot. We give the course a call speaker to the owner/manager answers ask out coming out on dec 22 and won’t be open untill jan 8 pretty funny schedule if you ask me. I give this play a 2 out of 5 stars due to the staff and owner I would expect much more out of a person when I’m going somewhere to spend my hard earned money. Looks like these guys are set in there ways I will mostly like not return on my own time if I wanted to spend $40 for someone to look at me like an idiot I will just give my wife the money and stay home she does it for free all the time.

I have been to Windwalker twice to shoot sporting clays. My first experience was quite enjoyable and one of the staff was even able to pull targets for me as I work out of Midland and didn’t have a coworker able to join me for both shoots. The second time was a less than satisfactory shoot (or attempt to rather). I arrived around noon and no customers were there nor arrived in the two hours I was there so I was unable to join a shoot or shoot solo. I was also told the staff of 5-6 workers were all busy prepping for a registered shoot and taking generous lunch breaks that they would be unavailable to assist me pulling targets for a paying customer. Granted I can understand having tasks to perform for a big shoot would prevent them delegating at least one employee to pull for me might be problematic however after two hours of waiting for a group to show and not being assisted in any other way is a bit frustrating. Instead I drove to and tried out Permian Basin’s Midland Shooters Association was able to have an enjoyable shoot and a issued a voice controller to throw targets for me as they have a minimal staff. My point is that if I’m paying to come and shoot and have an enjoyable experience and don’t have the option or luxury to shoot with a buddy it might be a good idea to either have a system in place for single shooters to pull their own targets by using a voice command box OR task an extra employee to pull targets for a paying customer who waits for over 1 1/2 hours for someone to show up and maybe be inclined to let me join their shoot.

We stopped at Windwalker as we were passing through. They have a great course and some interesting presentations. The course was well maintained and the staff members treated us like long lost friends.
    Hope to get back sometime.

This is one of the top courses in the State of Texas that I have had the privilege to shoot at. Steve, Chris, and Gary do an outstanding job of maintaining the course. Definitely worth the visit if you are in the area. You will not go wrong with Windwalker Farms.

I recently shot a round of sporting clays at Windwalker and was thoroughly impressed. The course was well maintained and the throwers worked perfectly. We also utilized a cart, making the trip around the course even more enjoyable. I will definitely be going back!
