All around fantastic sporting clays venue. Jim, Joan, Steve and staff make every visit down-home and super friendly. The course is challenging for all levels of shooters providing 8 different levels of difficulty based on a color system on where to shoot from at each station. Expert instruction is available for the asking and for children it is free. I would be remiss if I didn’t mention the tasty selection of food offered at the clubhouse and prepared by Joan (homemade soups and cookies). Overall great shooting experience and a fun way to spend a day. My favorite place to shoot. Definition of sporting clays: Golf with a shotgun!!!

One of the better sporting clays facilities. Beginner to championship caliber courses. Some of the best food served for taste and comfort after a challenging course.

Have shot sporting clays at J&H regularly since 2000. Have always found course to be well marked and well maintained. Unlike other clubs J&H’s multiple courses are in an expansive wooded setting with interconnected trails between stations. Field openings and water are incorporated into courses only as appropriate to the shot being offered. This is not a glorified 5-stand with a tower. Mechanical traps and triggers will occasionally fail no matter where you shoot. Range master Steve has always been responsive when notified of problems and he’s also a first rate shooting instructor. J&H is also welcoming to kids, new shooters and women, offering lessons and special events to promote involvement and appreciation. Great place to spend half a day or more.

The shooting here is very erratic the paths cross other trails and you are not sure where you are going there is a lot of confusion on the course some of the traps did not work told the staff and they said just shoot 6 from the one thrower that is not why I shoot sc. I would shoot trap if I wanted to shoot @ the same bird overall I would give it a 6 out of 10

Well I’m headed out there tonight and this will be my third time out there. It’s just a great facility with many different and challenging views at the clays. It’s a good time and a good way to brush up for waterfowl season right around the corner.

Second visit to this facility and still impressed. Have been to other courses around the Midwest and this course is excellent. For the rookie or seasoned veteran. Most impressive management and facility. Thank you for the value you provide.

J&H is a wonderful shooting facility. There are plenty of different courses for all different skill levels. The courses are well laid out and have a great mix of challenge and fun on each course. There are wonderful coaches there that are very kind and knowledgeable. Everyone out there is so cool. No matter if it is your first visit out there, or your fiftieth, you get treated exactly like family.

It is a very nice course with a home-like club house. The food is the best I have tasted in a long time and the cookies are amazing. It’s my number 1 club hands down.

I only had a chance to shoot the course a double round and found it to be very much enjoyable. The price was reasonable and in line with other clubs. I wish I were better at the rabbit station this one is difficult for me but with a return visit I do think I will get that rabbit. Friendly staff and I do like throwing our own birds because you can take a little more time and explain shots to beginner shooters. Thank-you for the experience.

A friend from work told me about J&H and we went together one weekend and I had a great time. I took my seven year old son and he had a blast pushing the remotes for us. The course is great a little bit of everything, for every skill level. Everyone was wonderful and I really liked to see alot of families with younger kids. It is great to see they allow kids unlike some of the other courses. I plan many trips to come it is well worth the drive!

My Wife and I shot J&H for the first time this week. Nice course. We started shooting this year and found the different levels of difficulty at each stand nice. My wife could shoot the green stands (easy) and I could select one of the harder ones. I even shot from two different positions on the same stand for a different look. They have radios on each stand if you are having a problem with something. Good homemade cookies in the clubhouse too.

Some of the nicest people you will ever meet. Nice clubhouse with great food. Homemade soup was excellent. They have an all rabbits course which I wish was 100 target rather than just 50 because it is so much fun. There are eight other courses from easy (the green course) to the purple course also known as the “whiners course”. Plan to return soon with friends in tow.
